A Friend of Mine

A friend: Neither an enemy
Nor a foe
A friend is a person
Whose aim is to care for you,
Love you and sacrifice its might
just for you

They say that
True friends are like gems
Precious but rare
While false friends are like autumn leaves
which are scattered everywhere
That's the truth

And another truth is
Friends can be lovers
But lovers can't be friends

I won't mention her name
But I swear
She's the best friend I ever had.
